As a native of these mountains, my love of the mountains lead me to begin taking landscapes for a short time. In 1999 I began photographing the mountains again armed with a 4x5 camera. Since then I have also began using an 8x10 camera for some images. My goal was to capture the beauty and majesty of the mountains of Western North Carolina and the Great Smokey Mountains on a printed piece of paper. I wanted to be able to share with all who saw what it is like to live in such splendor as displayed by the four distinctive seasons we enjoy here. |
